The Sustainability Centre provides a range of training courses/workshops for adults across the following themes: crafts and recycling, gardening, wellbeing, sustainable land management, willow and wood craft, and forest school leadership.
Learning and education experiences for children/young people cover:
* Day trips for schools and home educators - from reception to Key Stage 3 age: Habitats & Lifecycles, Exploring Materials, Caring for the Environment, Renewable Energy Sources, Forest Skills, Greener Homes, Permaculture, and much more. If 30% or more of your pupils are on free-school meals, please see the information about the Fair Share Fund, which provides discounts for pupils attending a day trip.
* Residentials for Eco Explorers - Years 5 & 6.
* Farm Tours
* Saxon Experience in the Outdoor Classroom
* Forest School Programmes at your school if it has a suitable natural site.
* Alternative Education sessions for 8-19 year olds
* Learning Sessions for college and university students
* Teacher training
The Sustainability Centre aims to educate, enable and inspire people from all walks of life to make positive changes to the way they live and work. The Centre is spread across 55 acres of woodland and South Downs natural chalk downland.
